her songs have gotten a little more interesting in the last few months, but one thing remains true, she does some things

and this is what SHE DO...

last weekend kyle and brianna were in orange county,

so we saw them for a bit on friday after todd's job interview there. they are the cutest little newlywed couple ever.

jack's pal, flat stanley came to visit us so we took him to our friend's dad's lifeguard tower and got some pics. this is a pic from my phone when we went to the beach with daddy. it was a cold day, so stan didn't do much surfing.

btw, i could have made stanley a little more professional looking, but i didn't have any heavier paper on hand. so i made due with crayons. love how you can still see his outline through his clothes.

went to the byu/pepperdine basketball game with the fam. we didn't know who to cheer for so we chose the team that gave out the free shirt. however, we got a little bit of ridicule from some ward members.

not pregnant, i just look chubs in this pic. hehe

btw, sylvie continues to be the perfect little spectator. she can't participate in a lot of our "things", but she's perfectly happy to bounce along and nod or shake her head in response.

sailor started primary and LOVES it.

todd just started his second semester of law school. only 5 more! ha

my goal for 2012 is to simplify.

i already have a good start. moving into a tiny house forces you to de-clutter.

today, todd and i had a mid-year reorganizing day to straighten and clean closets etc.

mostly when i say i need to simplify, i'm referring to this quote.

my friend tara, who i go to for so many ideas and insight on life posted this on fb and i just love it.

the quote is simple in itself, but it has the potential to bring so much happiness.

and... our family's new theme song

"you can't always get what you want!

but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you're gonna get what you need."

this rolling stones song has been in the rotation in my car for i don't know how long. but i never really cared for it until i heard sailor singing along a few weeks ago.

what better way to teach a toddler than in their own language.

a song that repeats this line over and over and over ;)

"you can't always get what you wa-ant!"

it's true isn't it?!

even when we don't get what we want,

when we try our best to keep the commandments,

we do get what we need. which leaves us

wanting what we have.

christmas vacation 2011

utah was not much of a winter wonderland this christmas.

in fact, it was pretty warm some days, but it was still much colder than home so we bundled up and had a great time with our family!!!

we stayed 2 weeks and got to see so many people we love.

the drive was not bad. the girls were so good! they both loved riding in the car, singing and talking about christmas. we had to listen to sylvie cry for about an hour tho. she does not like the car in the dark. phew, so glad we figured that out so we could make time adjustments for our ride home.

todd and i went on 3 dates in a row! guess what everyone,

i actually do have a boyfriend!!!

todd and jason on a "mini date" april and i were in the car ahead with my parents.

we thought this looked so funny.

i read this book from todd and ate this candy from my stocking from my mom

sailor got to take off in grandpa paul's plane. she wouldn't go alone (plus, i didnt really want her to) so that's about as far as we could go. about 100 ft up in the air because she had to sit on my lap. still, so fun. such a beautiful day!

my mom, april and i shopped then cooked, cooked cooked for christmas eve dinner and chistmas breakfast
went to church, then spent christmas day with todd's dad and then the welchs

todd and i went to a jazz game and then had dinner at gracie's.
new year's eve/day, we played games and took care of sick/tired girls
stayed in vegas on our way back home and todd and sailor swam even tho it was not so warm. yay!

don't get me wrong, all of this was fab. however, i would have enjoyed it much more had it been spread out over two months instead of two weeks.

so the much anticipated christmas vacation is over and it is so relaxing to be home. it's been beautiful weather and todd didn't start school til the 9th so we've had a great vacation from our "vacation."

we love and appreciate our family who put up with the extra guests and are so happy we got to spend our holiday with you!

sailor's holly jolly christmas dance performance!

k so this video is horrible because i had to move half way through because the girl in red sat directly in my shot of sailor. but i'm so happy i got what i did. i was a little nervous that sailor would be too scared to perform in front of all these people, but she did great! rapunzel and snow white were dancing with her class and you can see sailor looking around for them. she loved it!

rapunzel and snow white were the highlight of the day for sailor.

so, this is a lot of footage, but i wanted to get a lot while i had the camera out. grandparents read on, anyone else might want to tune out about now.

the week before the christmas show, the girls were supposed to wear their costumes in case the show got rained out. when you watch these videos from sailor's class keep in mind that she just moved up to the 4 year old class. you can easily tell who the 3 year old is. the class clown, but at least she is smiling and having a great time! you may question the decision after watching ;) but her teacher insists sailor is ready to move up. and you can see, she loves every minute!!

baby vi's 1st bday celebration

sylvie PULLS a face that only a mother could love and this is it!!!

i'm serious, todd thinks it's hideous and i love it!

i know i've already gone on about vi, but i forgot a few things like her kisses smack on the mouth or the random times she crawls up to give us a kiss on the cheek.

her wave is hilarious, she waves at everyone. it's sort of a miss america style, rotating at the wrist and goes on and on.

for sylvie's bday celebration, we went as a family to see the

christmas boat parade at balboa island.

sylvie can be mistaken for a boy as most babies can, but that explains the

sumo ponytail i put on top of her head.

she has the cutest shaped head.

i'm serious, people randomly tell me how cute it is.

you wouldn't know such a thing could be so cuddly which reminds me that she loves to snuggle!

at sylvie's 1 year check up, she weighed 19 lbs. she's exactly sailor's 1 year old size which is exactly my 1 year old size.

for the first 6 months of sylvie's life, she slept.
as most babies do. then, she slept 3/4 of the time and when she wasn't
sleeping, she was watching.

in the last three months, sylvie has awoken and is aware of the

world around her.

and the world is aware of HER

sylvie is A character.

if you know her, you know what i mean.

from her little lamb laugh (with the rattle in her voice) to her bobbing head.
she is full of life and excitement! she's always bouncing and wide-eyed.

she eats anything and everything she finds on her path.

there is no stopping this little sunshine.

i can't believe she's 1 and i couldn't be more happy about it.

she finally sleeps all the way from 7 til 7 without any
early morning wake-up calls.

she no longer just sits and watches her sissy.

she claps and waves and bounce/dances along with her or to any music.

anytime i start to sing, she joins in. aaaah aaaaaaaah.

all this being said. she can turn from happy to MAD with the blink of an eye.

sylvie has a wise soul.

i'm proud of the girl i know sylvie will become,

but so happy to have her as my baby for now.

as long as possibly possible.

as long as i can remember, sylvie pats my left shoulder when i pick her up from her crib.

delivered in the american fork hospital at 4:34 pm, 7.2 lbs, by dr. ryan jones...

we took her home on december 16, in the same little outfit sailor wore home from the hospital...

sailor was in heaven holding her new little sister, and playing with sylvie's gifts

(the gloves were from aunt sabrina)

so many fun visiters... my parents, kyle, nick, sabrina, jack, cohen, and louella, dallas, jessica and lucy, and todd's mom and sister lisa came when sylvie was born then carrie and kevin came the next day and grandpa paul came the next night...

and aunt sabrina brought her kids back. they were so excited to see sylvie again.

and of course my mom was a regular...

minutes after her arrival...

there is excitement in the air at our house

that only christmas can bring.

this week, we're finishing up our christmas treats for our friends,

a few last parties, packing

and getting ready to head to utah.

we took a huge chance in moving our lives to california.

something i always thought i would like to do, but never thought would actually happen.

now that it's all said and done, i realize how easily it could have been bad news bears,

but so far, it is perfect. here we are at christmas time.

finals over on thursday for todd. sailor's xmas dance recital is here on saturday.

and we are settled.

every time i get in the car and drive down the pch or through the canyon

through calabasas, to run errands etc. i think

"is this really my life? how did i get here?

dream come true."

i quickly forget the packing of our old house and all that moving entails.

and

HERE WE ARE!

and it worked out!

(sailor says i'm supposed to write grammy's name on this box to mail it to her)

friday night sailor and i got out and did some final shopping, saturday night we went to our ward party that i helped with, all while todd studied and sylvie slept. it's wonderful to meet new people and expand our circle of friends. it's so much fun for me to take sailor to dance 3 days a week and get to socialize with other women with daughters my girl's age, we are instant friends because we all have our daughters in common. some even have one sylvie's age. our neighbors are all great too.

and then, sailor and sylvie get a package from home to remind us that we have even more love in our lives. the best and the permanent kind. the love of our families.

we were waiting to enjoy grammy and pepe's christmas tree when we get to utah, but my mom decided to send us one in the mail! nothing like the smell of pine at christmas time. sailor spent at least an hour this morning decorating and re-decorating. sylvie "helped" too and squealed in delight.

i would recommend moving away for a few years to anyone who has the chance, but don't go so far away that you can't see your family from time to time. in choosing a place to live for law school, we took lots into consideration. could we still see family? is it somewhere we could live permanently if needs be and is it somewhere that we won't be wishing the next 3 years of our life away. check. check and check!!!

yep, california is our home away from home.

only four days left on our advent calendar til finals are over,

and the celebrating begins!!!

studying, studying, studying.

i love how i pretend this is hard on me.

i'm really just relaying the message that law school is hard for todd.

it is hard cuz i like having todd around once in a while,

but grammy and pepe were in town yesterday so they came to malibu and

spent the day with us so todd took a break and came along.

today, the girls and i went to newport to spend the day with them!!!

i'm already blogging about it because, of course todd is off studying

i say that like it's a bad thing when really i admire and appreciate his dedication.

do you somedays wake up in a funk?

well, i do.

no matter who you are, every once in a while it's

inevitable. the blues.

fitting that it's BLACK friday.

today, the day after the much anticipated seeing

of my parents for thanksgiving day.

it's already over.

that's why today is a very appropriate day to count my blessings

and ponder those things i didn't MAKE time to ponder on the actual day of thanks.

besides being grateful to not be cooking and able to enjoy the beautiful day.

really. i am one lucky gal.

the fact that i can say this while living in this

tiny, blue carpeted apt makes me happy.

the fact that i can say this after being at nordstrom

two days ago and wanting

most everything shiny and new, makes me happier still.

as i type, i'm watching my girls becoming

friends on the floor close by.

i quickly realize the funk or post holiday blues

that 5 years ago would have been covered up by a

trip to gateway mall

or nordstrom only to return with things that

would most surely make me look fab,

is most commonly lost in a smile of my babies or jog around the track.

or a quick reality check...

we are all healthy and we are in need of absolutely nothing.

i'm learning.

this is me. nothing shiny and new to wrap me up

and cover me from the world.

what ever crazy happy or crazy sad times life may give me,

i hope i can always remember to thank my

Heavenly Father for all of my blessings.

once i start thinking of my blessings, there really is no end, so i won't write them,

but i'll make a mental note and

tomorrowiwillwakeupwiththeseblessingsfreshinmindanditwillbeallbetter.

thanksgiving 2011

living in california, we knew we'd mostly stay in california for thanksgiving.

the break is too short and too close to finals for todd to take time off.

we got lucky this year because even though it's the in-law year for my fam,

my parents were in california. so we spent a lovely holiday with them

while they were in town for the day.

we are so thankful for all of our wonderful family and friends

and so thankful for the long holiday break coming up in just 3

weeks so we will hopefully be

able to spend some quality time with everyone!!!!

first time i've seen my dad in 3 months. i think that's the longest i've been without him!

so fun, even if only for the day!!!

i've always been told i look like my mom, but the older i get, the more i see my dad when i look in the mirror, which would be a great thing if i were actually a MAN.

i love my dad, he's the greatest dad put on the planet.

he always tells me that we

(my siblings and i and of course my mom first and now grandkids too)

are his whole purpose.

that might be the best thing a dad could ever say,

especially because he and my mom always make me feel it's the truth!

we got to newport around 9:30am so we started the day with a little walk to balboa.

then, to laguna beach for the feast.

in my defense, he hates pics so i'm quite happy to steal a few

four years guys!!! that's half of eight, which is exactly

the years i will spend with this man... times infinity!

for todd, life is a lot of reading, studying, and paper writing.

for me, life is a lot of sailor, sylvie, and fun.

we know that it would be A LOT MORE FUN if daddy were with us.

so, we miss him most of the time.

BUT that doesn't stop us from enjoying our time in california.

we had such a great start to the week. if the week starts with sunday- it does, right?

my brother's fam, nick, sabrina, jack cohen and louella came over for dinner last sunday afternoon.

it was fun to show them where we live.

sad too because i didn't know how much i missed them until i saw them.

i also didn't realize how much sailor LOVES her cousins.

she was so excited to show them around.

i can't wait for christmas for sailor to see lucy too, or thanksgiving if we get the chance!

we usually don't really celebrate halloween that much. it' really not my favorite holiday.

kinda creepy if you ask me,

but since sailor's getting older, it's time to start celebrating. if i have to...

we went to a party in the pacific palisades on friday.

a gal in my ward puts this party on every year for her kids. it was great! bounce house and all.

i still can't believe you can plan an outdoor party at this time of year.

it's finally setting in that we won't really have a winter this year. yay!!

however, it's a bit chilly lately so it feels fall-ish

i had to add this pic cuz sailor HAD to have her hair like belle's with a

twisty thing like this (she shows me with her hands) just look at the cover of

beauty and the beast to see what i was GOING for.

this party was chaos, but sailor of course did not want to leave until

i told her we had another party when we got home.

this weekend will be the "half-way thru the first semester of law school mark" a little exciting if you want to look at the glass half full! so, we did a little family celebrating. yay!!!

grammy came to visit!

we picked her up at the airport on a wednesday sept. 28, and headed to newport beach for a few days. it was so great to see her. i've really missed her and so have the girls. i'm missing her again already.

it was such a lovely time.

just girls, BUT, on one of our morning walks a man said "hello ladies"

and sailor immediately said, "i wish that was pepe". we laughed

sailor would have been content to play doodle bug (buddy) the whole time all

curled up in her new blankie grammy made for her.

sylvie was teething like crazy so she had a fever and was a tad fussy at times,

to say the least

and one night, sailor wanted to stay up with us so bad, she screamed and

screamed for about a full half hour or longer-

whatever, a long time when someone is screaming. (more on this below)

my mom got her hair cut on a whim while we were there.

we've been having a little trouble at bed time.
sailor will not go down without a fight!

since i've been home, todd has put his foot down for me.

i never realized i was a push over at bed time. but, we figured out it's my fault. anyway, i can't lie down by sailor even for 5 minutes cuz it turns into her thinking she can con me into letting her stay up etc.

i can't resist when she puts her arms out and says "mama, ay with me."

i never thought it would matter if i lie down and sing a song or read cuz i never sleep with her and definitely never let her sleep in our bed.

one night sailor was walking out of her bedroom and todd walked in the door at the same time. todd and i both watched her scurry back to her room. hoping daddy hadn't see her.

AND lately sailor tells daddy to go back to school at night. i'm assuming it's so she can rule the roost after he leaves. so yes, all fingers point at me. i'm doing better now. she went to bed within 5 minutes tonight. progress. yay!!

there's a constellation of freckles in a line below sailor's right eye,
the most precious gathering of dots that ever was.

SO BIG!

she's three years old! such a sweet heart.

she's 38.5" tall

not sure on her weight right now,

but she is growing so fast!

she loves milk, oatmeal, pizza, macaroni, brats, toast and honey,

black beans (strange, i know, but she and sylvie both love to snack on them) and applesauce.

that list gets longer by the day now that she will finally try more foods.

she's learning her letters and knows

A,B,K,L,M,O,S,T,W and Z! a random pick,

but i started with the letters that don't rhyme to make it easier.

she can count to ten, it's cutest when she TRIES it in "smanish"

for her birthday, (she's been planning since we went shopping for luella's bday in may)

her list included...

a backpack, a microphone, a camera, an umbrella,

and anything else she's seen in the last few months,

but those were the consistent items.

she loved her bday, she especially loved getting packages in the mail.

sailor's birthday celebration was pretty BIG this year. she got to go to disneyland

for her very first time!!!

we went with our neighbors krystal and kylie who go to disneyland ALL of the time,

so they showed us around.

Sylvie stayed home with daddy with the help of another neighbor while he had one class.

when we first got to disneyland, sailor walked around holding her skirt out like this...

i took an extra dress in case sailor got sick of her belle dress, but no way, she loved it.

the only sad part of the day was when she didn't get to meet belle, but she did get to meet aurora, tiana and mulan. belle was in the parade so her day was made.

we stayed at the park from open to close. our last ride was soaring over california. sailor thinks she went on an airplane (i wish real airplanes were like that). she said that ride was one of her faves, but it made her tired so, we went home ;)

law school family day

we walked over to the school and spent about about an hour with todd for family day.

it was fun for sailor to see what todd does at school and meet some of his classmates.

during class...

this is behind the law school. there are tables and a little cafeteria that look over the ocean.

that's the ocean behind us. it's overcast, so it just looks grey.

it's actually overcast everyday here until noon. then it's sunny. we live in the clouds half the day. really. we see little puffs of clouds floating nearby all of the time. beautiful, but the thick air makes it hard to get up in the morning. there are tons of deer all over campus. especially on the hill behind our house. weird huh? i thought we had left the deer back in utah. but thankfully, nope.

we are so lucky to live here on campus and see todd throughout the day.

even if it's only for a half an hour here and there. this is the ideal law school situation.

we love it here and the friends we've made so far.

i was so worried about being older than everyone,

sylvie is only 9months old so i am not even close to wanting to get pregnant.

but because i have these female urges to reproduce, the thought has crossed my mind.

WHEN?

i was thinking like maybe when i'm 35.

so i looked into it and here's what i found. SCIENTIFIC proof that i already have the ideal family. consisting of only TWO girls. phew, i don't have to use my 33 year old aging ovaries as an excuse.

there you have it.

and, to second my point. todd has a professor that has two girls and she told him about a study that was done (which could be the link i just posted, i didn't get the specifics) and yes, according to her, two girls does make for the happiest home, which seems funny to me that four girls makes the UN-happiest home (shouldn't it just be twice as happy? i guess that's why it's scientific, not mathematic). SO... do i risk trying for a boy in a few years? we shall see...

however, another girl would only be 1/4 less happy of a home.

or does it cut it in half because it's only one more instead of two more.

whatever, i'm not a scientist.

what better way to spend my last day in utah than at

kyle and annie's wedding and reception.

bittersweet.

the whole day was amazing. from the decor to the dancing.

everything.

a beautiful utah august day. there was a little rainstorm right before

the reception began, but it made everything so green and beautiful.

i watched my new sis in law. so calm and sweet,

while her whole party looked like it might be

rained out.

the sun soon came out and a beat was not skipped.

i didn't even need to get my camera out that night.

i was waiting for the photographer's pics to come out, but they got

i am so happy to have brianna as my newest sister.

it was totally appropriate for kyle to marry brianna because first there was

sabrinA, then there was jessicA and now briannA.

all three syllables and all beautiful gals inside and out.

i know the syllables is a dumb reason, but i think it's cute it worked out that way :)

i do have a sister, but she doesn't like being on blogs

so i have to crop her out of every pic.

which is good for me cuz she's prettier and skinnier so she can't make me look bad.

the lawn at pepperdine was filled with flags today.

3000 flags.

each flag was beautiful as it stood by itself in the breeze.

standing among the group of thousands of flags,

there was such a reverence in it's entirety.

everyone remembers their emotions and where they were 9/11/01.

my first trip to new york had been canceled that week for reasons i don't remember.

when i did go, there was such an eerie, vacant feeling at ground zero.

besides the sadness, i can't imagine the shock and horror the victims must have felt that tragic day and the questions that were going through their mind. or maybe they felt peace through most of it. i hope

the beach

the population of malibu is only about 13,000, but you'd never know it

on summer weekends.

we figured out fast, we need to be at the beach by 11

to beat the traffic.

this year, labor day was beach going,

relaxing and checking out the new area.

our friends from draper.

sailor's second week of her princess ballet/tap dance class...

she is loving every minute.

the first day, i took her in her pink ballet leotard and skirt,

but they can wear whatever they want, so tutus it is! lots of tutus!

vegas... todd and i took sailor out to see the bellagio and fun stuff on the strip.

when we first arrived in vegas and drove down the strip at night, sailor asked

todd, sailor, sylvie and i drove stopped in vegas on our way to his family vacation

in coronado california.

then, he flew back to utah to work and my mom came to newport for a few days where we walked, and ate yummy food and then drove home with me and the girls.

it was a beautiful easter day.

we went to sacrament meetings with both of our parents.

you may think that was a church overload, but two hours is better than three.

besides, it was worth it to hear my parent's ward easter choir program .... nerd alert.... that's me. (my mom sings in it, my dad doesn't)

pam and kerry spoke in their sacrament meeting so that was extra special too.

we visited todd's dad between meetings.

later, we had dinner and easter egg hunts for the kids and adults with my family.

if you hadn't noticed, sailor got some new little mermaid pjs that we let

her wear for her nap and the egg hunt.

my mom says she can't wait to see the day i give in and let her wear them to the grocery store.

i HOPE that's where i draw the line,
but i've learned not to make any promises regarding the tantrums of the "terrible twos"

potty time

so... sailor is MOSTLY in panties! pull ups are for sleeping and only when it's important that she does not pee her pants... church etc.

as most of you know, sailor learned how to go in the potty before sylvie was born, but she fell in love with diapers after she saw me changing sylvie all of the time.

suddenly diapers were THE SH**. (potty talk. appropriate, huh)

i tried for about one minute to fully train sailor a few months ago, but quickly took my mom's advice to make it easy on myself and not even worry about the potty training til she got used to sylvie in the house. apparently now is the time cuz she's pretty good at it.

in the training process, we rented a silly video from the library that sings "bye bye wee wee, bye bye poo poo" if you hear sailor singing this silly song, it's not from me, it's from the video ha ha

for some reason i can't download videos on here, but

i have the cutest vid of her telling me she went poo poo in the potty.

instead, here's a pic of sailor when daddy took her to the jazz game with ryan and sayla

there's a potty in the background so that's good enough.

however, it kinda looks like sailor just went on todd's shirt

i had a great bday in southern california with todd and sylvie.

chapman university flew todd out there for a scholars weekend and sylvie and I went along.

my parents were in newport and so were kyle and brianna. it was a fab weekend!

no offense to utah, but i didn't want to come back. i sort of wanted somebody to pack up my house and bring sailor to me in california.

we checked out chapman in orange and pepperdine in malibu. malibu is amazing, but we really don't want much debt so chapman is probably a better choice since todd practically has a full tuition scholarship there. so....unless pepperdine decides to give todd a scholarship, we'll be near orange. AND i'm perfectly fine with that!

ps, since this post, todd did end up with some scholarship money to pepperdine, so that's where we're going. malibu! yay!!!

sylvie was a perfect little angel on her blessing day.

todd gave her a beautiful blessing and she laughed and smiled during the whole sacrament meeting and all that day. she had so many guests at her blessing and over to our FULL house after. But it was perfect, we loved having everyone in our home. we are so lucky to have such supportive family and friends.

all of my family came, besides april and jay who are still in dc.

it was so much fun to see jeff, becca and porter who were in town from idaho!

then out to dinner with my parents and uncle kyle and back to our house for a minute for

some christmas stories and songs for sailor.

it was my family's "off" year so it was a very small gathering.

i need to do a post just about sylvie. one is coming soon. she is the sweetest little thing. it has been such fun to have a brand new baby at christmas time. the best possible present in the whole world. sailor loves little vi so much and wants to hold her about every second of the day. she's the best big sister a little girl could have.

sailor came to me and said "mommy, i make a snowman"... very creative.

my i need to get pics from my mom sometime.

anyway, i went out to dc to spend a few days with my seesta and my mom. it was such a fab trip. todd's mom and sis were so great and took sailor while todd was busy with school and work so i had a little vacation all to myself. it was amazing. so simple, i even carried on my luggage without a bunch of baby gear to tote around. my mom was already there, so i just packed a few things and off i flew pretty much last minute. the weather was beautiful.

april and jay live in such an amazing place. i've been to dc a few times already so i had already seen a bunch of the sites so we were able to just relax, eat amazing food and really see the area where april and jay live. we did make it to the white house lawn to eat our lunch and a few other places, but mostly we ate, walked (as much as i could) and had much needed sister/mom/daughter bonding time in april's city.

perfect little trip for that 3rd trimester bigness and antsiness.

sailor and i spent our mornings at the park everyday last week.

we went so much that

one night, at 4am, i heard sailor saying

"parrrk, parrrk, park" in her sleep.

but that's just what you do in october when the weather is

unbelievable and you have a little time to spare until the new baby arrives.

the trees are big and shady. it's right by grandma z's old house so i think

of her all the time and wish she could join us

she finally decided that she can go down slides again.

she had a few falls so for a while she would

sit there at the top, debate, then back out.

i didn't fill in a letter last week for my baby's name, but people have basically guessed the middle name and we've told people so i might as well say it.

i almost used gabriella for sailor's middle name, i heard it on a book on cd while i was pregnant with sailor, but decided to wait because i loved it so much, i might want it for a first name some day, well that's still an option cuz i want to see the baby first. you should hear sailor say it. she can say the whole thing perfectly and it is so cute!

i've basically had this first name picked out since the day before i found out i was having a girl. my mom came up with it and luckily todd likes it too. my mom got the name from a little gold necklace charm she has. the name is written on the back, random. anyway, i'm just excited.

names are so hard because you don't want to tell them too early in case you change your mind and decide to wait and use it for another baby then someone else uses it if you've told, or the baby comes out and looks nothing like it. but i feel i'm safe revealing gabriella because i've wanted it for so long. besides, i feel like babies usually grow into a name and people will end up loving the name if they love the child. i put a lot of thought into it anyway. probably just cuz i'm a girl. todd does have a small say ;) no, he actually does have an opinion, he def knows what he doesn't like and he is happy with what we've chosen. he thinks its dumb that i like to keep it a surprise tho.

i'll slowly reveal the first name. just cuz i need something to make my next ten weeks go by!
