phone pics. ho-hum days

sylvie really needed a haircut! those wispy hairs were just not right.
i tried the ponytail -just made her look more bald.

the comb-over.

so i gave her, her first for real haircut.
she looks like a boy, i don't feel bad cuz she did before the haircut too.

it's okay, we know she's a lady. someday the world will too.
too soon.

i loved seeing the cast of modern family at disneyland last week.
todd and i have been watching the dvd's of the first two seasons the last few weeks.
so i consider them family. so far, my favorite of anyone i've seen so far. i later learned, if i had been there earlier, i could have just sat and watched them film. instead of my blurry passer-by pic.
i wanted to yell out "cam!" they really should know me, ya know?!
after all, i certainly know them!

we all got it, but it was a first for sylvie and sailor to puke. like the real thing.
we each had a day with the flu this last week. gross

the beach

sorry folks, sylvie's not walking yet... but she's as cute as ever with that gap-toothed grin!
she's got some molars too!

we had such a grand time at the beautiful beach on president's day!
this day was exceptionally pretty. the tide was high and the sun was not too bright. pam, carrie and lisa got to enjoy a great last day at the beach! i'm so glad because they sure helped todd and i out by staying with the girls over the weekend. lincoln came too!

fyi, this is sylvie being mermaid on the rock.
i guess the girls sat on rocks at the beach and sang little mermaid songs while todd and i were gone so sylvie wanted to do it some more. isn't she lovely?!
my little singing mermaid. if you haven't gotten a kiss from her, you're missing out! they come at random times, are quite slobbery due to teething, and so sweet!

black tie (optional)

todd and i had an amazing weekend! saturday, pam, lisa and carrie and lincoln came to stay while todd and i took off for our first time alone together without the girls!

we started out at the beverly center mall. i got my makeup done while todd walked around the mall. it was so funny, i knew what to expect because i've had my makeup done many times over the years, but todd took one look at the girls with their crazy pink makeup and was so nervous.

i hurried and got dressed in the parking garage and did my hair in the car on the way to the beverly wilshire where we valeted our little toyota corolla. it was so funny!! we actually tried to find parking to avoid the pricey valet, but of course, failed. i have reached a new level of cheapness for anyone who knows me! ha, but it's good to laugh at ourselves.

todd looks fab in his new suit. i wore my dress from my bridal shower almost 5 years ago. i actually didn't feel too out of place as i worried i would. there were all kinds of dresses. if we go next year, i'll probably spring for a new dress ;) but honestly, it's hard to find modest formal dresses that are actually cute. even this one is a tad low, a lot low without the cami. oh well!

what i wore...

what todd wishes i wore (see red shoed girl).
jk, todd's the one who convinced me to wear my old dress

the dinner was a tad boring. it consisted of some speakers, silent auction and awards.
fancy. however, i'd go again for the after party dancing. i loved getting to know todd's classmates, professors, etc.

so around 1 am, we headed to newport beach where we partied some more, like it was 2007. before kids, before cares.

we rode bikes all over balboa peninsula. this hotel is where we stayed (balboa inn)when i was preg with sailor. we ate at bj's pizza sunday night. that morning we had breakfast at the galley.

a perfect weekend for me and todd!!!
thanks to all who made it possible!!!
